The place deserved 3 stars. The staff were helpful and welcoming day and night. My room included a private safe, central heating, and TV.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, with a short walk to downtown and plenty of shaded roads. It was great to get away from the busy town at the end of the day. The pool was a refreshing oasis after a hot day exploring the nearby beaches. I also appreciated the access to a kitchen, which was a bonus for preparing meals.

The noise from barking dogs at night, which could be bothersome. There were also some maintenance issues such as a leaking sliding glass door during rainstorms and a dripping A/C unit.

The plants and layout of the villa gave a very inviting feel. The addition of covered verandas made for a more shaded entry and sitting area. The pool and plants were well cared for, and the maintenance person did a good job. The small fridge in each room was so nice to have. The friendly and helpful manager on site made our stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the shared kitchen, which was useful for our needs.

The amount of steep stairs was unexpected and may be challenging for some people. Our room was clean but cramped, both in the sleeping area and the bathroom.
